Our team has released a fix to address the disruption affecting coursing on Square Terminal and Android mobile kit devices. Impacted seller devices will be automatically restarted, and the fix will be in place as part of app version 6.41. If your device is not automatically updated, please manually restart the device to ensure that the fix is available to you.

To restart your Square app, simply close and relaunch the app. To restart your Square Terminal, hold the power button for three seconds and select the restart option.

Sellers experiencing the disruption affecting coursing can take steps to continue using their devices. For Square Terminal and Android mobile kit devices, disabling coursing will address this disruption while our team works on releasing an upcoming update to permanently address this experience. On Square Terminal, sellers may reboot their devices by holding the power button for three seconds and selecting the Restart option in order to continue using the device. On Android mobile kit, sellers may press the back button to continue using their devices. At this time, sellers on an iPad or Square Register may continue using the coursing feature as these devices are unaffected.
